Gecko

Gecko, a friendly little lizard, is here to show how a new eye drop could be the answer for patients living with glaucoma. To highlight the benefits of this innovative treatment technology, our client Syneos Health chose the Gecko as the campaign’s symbol, just like the eye drop, it sticks remarkably well wherever it lands. To bring this concept to life, we transformed the Gecko into a single drop that falls onto a leaf shaped like an eye, where it comes to life.

At the beginning of the process, we carefully explored different versions of the Gecko character to find the perfect design that would capture the right personality. We evaluated several concepts and selected the one that best
conveyed the idea of the Gecko clinging firmly to the leaf, which visually references an eye.

To bring the idea to life, we created a forest with subtle facial features, drawing special attention to a leaf shaped like an eye. The environment comes alive as a lush, rainy, and intense setting, yet, despite the conditions, our Gecko remains steady and firmly attached to the leaf.

One of the key challenges in this project was achieving the perfect texture for the Gecko character. Since the little creature represents a drop of eye medication, we conducted a detailed study to give its skin the consistency and density of a liquid.
